Terms & Conditions

1. Accepting these terms

By registering for an account, ticking the consent box at sign-up, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to create an account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. Accounts may be invite-only and are subject to moderator review and approval before first sign-in.
• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password secure.

3. Community conduct

You agree not to post or do anything unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or harmful, and not to misuse the Platform (spam, scraping, attempts to disrupt the service, or circumventing moderation). We may moderate, edit, hide, or remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

4. Your content & the licence you grant

“User content” means anything you submit to the Platform — including posts, comments, reviews, messages, games and game submissions, articles, studio/company and event details, images, and other materials.

• You keep ownership. You retain all rights you hold in your user content.
• You grant us a licence. By submitting user content, you grant GameDev.az a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (e.g. resize/format), publish, and display that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have re-shared or that we must retain to comply with law.
• You are responsible for it. You confirm you own or have the rights to everything you post and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any law.
• Moderation. We may review and remove user content at our discretion, but we are not obliged to monitor it and are not responsible for content posted by users.

5. Our intellectual property

The Platform's name, logo, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or used without permission. These Terms grant you no rights to our branding.

6. Third-party links, events & jobs

The Platform lists studios, jobs, and events, and may link to or route registration to third-party sites (for example, an organizer's own registration link). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, their content, or their handling of your data — their own terms and privacy policies apply.

7. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where required to protect the Platform or its users.

8. Disclaimers & liability

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for user content or third-party services.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Questions about these Terms can be sent to IGDA Azerbaijan via the contact channels published on the Platform.
